Today we wave 'au revoir' to the bridge that has been a significant part of our lives for the past few months. Designed by #OrthotropicEngineering and built by #JackLindsay, it's about to leave for installation in France, but not before a last check-assembly and photo-call!
The durable green oak deck is secured to the frame with corrosion resistant stainless steel bolts: Long personal experience in subsea engineering means that we understand how to combine dissimilar materials in ways that minimise corrosion.
Proof below that night-time lends atmosphere - not a bad job for a couple of guys and hopefully the first of many collaborations!
