In October 2018 we established #OrthotropicEngineering to offer composites-focused design, analysis and consultancy services to industry - with hindsight, the timing could have been better! Nonetheless, five years, one pandemic, one Brexit and a cost-of-living crisis later, things are going very well - although it does seem that we're beginning to run out of room for candles.
In any case, we couldn't have got this far without the ongoing support of our customers, suppliers and friends, so we'd like to offer our warmest thanks to anyone and everyone who's helped us on our journey to date - It's been a privilege to serve numerous clients engaged in a diverse range of composites-related projects. In some cases, we've simply conducted FE analyses of proposed designs - in others, we've been engaged in a longer-term strategic capacity, conducting design work and helping our customers to develop and assess competing structural concepts.
Looking forward to the next five years, we'll be continuing to offer the same high-quality service that you've come to expect from us, bringing a methodical approach and many years' personal experience to solve your #compositesengineering problems. You can expect us in particular to be taking #sustainability increasingly seriously - we're especially keen to help our customers exploit the advantages of composites for the benefit of renewables, energy storage and energy transition projects. With an eye on participating in the drive towards composites recyclability, we've also recently joined the sustainability group within CompositesUK - and if we pay you a visit at any point, you'll likely spot that we've travelled by #EV to keep our own carbon footprint under control.
